Albert Rask, Portfolio

Concerned with the absurdity of everyday behaviour and longing to break apart the firmness of categories such as 'right' and 'wrong', 'good' and 'evil', Albert Rask's works live as open-ended questions reflecting upon dialogue and social structures. Originally from Copenhagen and based in Amsterdam, Albert graduated from The Moving Images department of The Gerrit Rietveld Academie in 2023 with recognition from Rietveld Review(ed). His sculptures, films, and installations have been exhibited and screened at institutions such as Stedelijk Museum, Eye Film Museum, and Kunst Rai. As an artist in residence at the Cinedans initiative Moving Media Lab, he has been busy dissolving the conventional borders between visual art, dance, theatre, performance, and technology. As a result, his works can be found inhabiting dance and theatre stages as well as exhibition spaces and cinemas.

Albert is a co-founder of the Copenhagen-based art collective Angarde and is currently an artist in residence at WOW Lieven. His film My name is the sound I use to introduce myself won the Cinedans Fest Audience Award and Spezial Price Z Generation at ZED Festival and La Danza in 1 Minuto and received a Special Mention at Cinedans Fest '25.
